San Luis Obispo Dog Friendly Places

San Luis Obispo has great restaurants where you can dine with your dog. Here are some of our favorite's:

Upscale Dining

• Novo serves gourmet dishes and offers charming outdoor seating by San Luis Creek in downtown - highly recommended for their ambiance and service.
• Luna Red offers inventive dishes and outdoor seating by Mission Plaza downtown - local favorite for special occasions (try their bacon wrapped figs) with delicious upscale food but sometimes lacking in service quality on the patio.

Casual Dining

• Milestone Tavern is a good place to go if you're looking for patio dining with craft drinks and the usual bar food. They even feature a dog-friendly menu, and have karaoke nights, if your pup is so inclined.
• If you're looking for a local and very casual dog friendly lunch favorite, you can't go wrong with High St. Deli, but be sure to order online before you go so you can easily pick up your lunch to eat on the patio. Local tip: They discount the sandwiches after 4:20 pm.
• Firestone Grill in San Luis Obispo allows dogs on their huge (and often busy) patio, and has good pub grub (best deal on a huge basket of fries in town), but you'll need a helper to order inside as there is no table service
• Del Monte Cafe has casual dog friendly outdoor seating near the railroad station in San Luis Obispo and is a good option for breakfast or early lunch with your well behaved dog.
• Bon Temps Creole Cafe (try the jambalaya) is another great dog friendly restaurant choice for breakfast in the San Luis Obispo train station area, and often has music on weekends.
• My Thai near the railroad station has exceptional Thai food (and lunch special), and is a lovely dog friendly restaurant option in good weather.
•  SLO Brew Rock, might be the most pet friendly brewery on the central coast. You can grab a quality beer and some pub grub at their dog friendly dining tables at  855 Aerovista Place in San Luis Obispo, California.
   

Coffee

• For dog friendly coffee in San Luis Obispo try Starbucks on Broad (huge dog friendly patio), Joebella on Higuera, or Sally Lou's on Osos St, which also offer's delicious local sourced food (although you may need a helper to order inside if their outside window is closed).
